Diane Fund Basketball Tournament

Writer's picture: slohan0604slohan0604

Recently, the Diane Fund held a basketball tournament fundraiser, where the students of Portledge school teamed together in groups of three in a winner-take-all elimination battle. Firstly, we would like to congratulate our winners, Ian Alper, Emma Sillat, and Alec Baghdassarian, who fought hard for the MUUVS team in their four rounds to ultimately become our first ever champions! Additionally, this event wouldn't have been possible without the help and generosity of our sponsors, and so we would like to thank each of them for their help in putting this together. Over 3,000 dollars was raised from the tournament, which is all being used to help patients and families struggling with the financial and emotional struggles of cancer. We would finally like to thank you, our community, for the unwavering support that you have showed us in our goals of helping others during difficult times. It is during times like this that the value of community help and support shines brightest, and we are eternally proud and grateful to have such a generous and outgoing group of individuals helping us along the way. We hope that we can count on your continued support during our next fundraiser, the Diane Fund Day of Play, which is scheduled to be July 23. Come join us for a fun day of games, prizes, food and much more!

A special thank you to:

Donations to our cause help financially support families through the struggles of cancer. By providing this support, families are able to focus on their loved ones, which should always be the main priority.

Troublesome bills and other expenses only divert families’ attention away from their loved ones, who require all the support necessary to fight the disease.
